Stores Operative

A full-time permanent vacancy has arisen within our Stores Department. Working: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Primary purpose of position
- To assist in the day to day running of bonded stores
- To ensure a smooth flow of goods between stores and the shop floor
- To work to a right first-time basis
Main duties & responsibilities
Main duties and responsibilities include competently understanding and operating the AX system, receiving stock into stores from inspection and the shop floor, and booking parts into stock using the AX system while allocating appropriate locations. Responsibilities also include kitting route cards, packing parts adequately for production, scanning route cards out of stores, and distributing them to the correct departments.
The role involves managing stock transfers between sites, liaising with other departments, and assisting with the annual stock take. Regular PI checks must be performed as required throughout the year and at year-end. Additionally, the position requires efficiently handling any queries arising from production and ensuring that first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation procedures are consistently followed.
Job Requirements:
Desirable experience includes proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and the capability to collaborate effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
