Job Description:

Primary purpose of position

To effectively manage the end-to-end Procurement requirements of a well-established fast paced organisation. Be able to source, negotiate and procure materials and services to meet the business requirements

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Enhance the organisations Procurement and Service levels to meet and exceed the day-to-day requirements of the business.
  • Internal and external stakeholder and supplier management.
  • Ensure up to date information is communicated accurately and on time.
  • End to end Purchase order and contract management.
  • Negotiate Effectively at all levels.
  • Supplier performance reporting.
  • Team player who communicates and interacts with all team members.
  • Assist the Finance Department with invoice discrepancies.

Job Requirements:

Person specification

  • The candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience working within a busy direct/indirect procurement environment.
  • Ideally be CIPS qualified or working towards, but not essential.
  • Be a team player and able to work on their own initiative.
  • Have a good working knowledge of a direct and indirect procurement.
  • Be able to make decisions and be proactive.
  • An effective negotiator.
  • Whilst training will be given, experience in Microsoft Office packages and Procurement based software systems are desirable.
