Job Description:

A full-time permanent vacancy has arisen within our Test Laboratory Department. Working: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

Primary purpose of position

To assist Glenair Test Laboratory personnel in the day-to-day technical operations of the Glenair (UK) Test Laboratory, taking care of routine production work commitments of the Test Laboratory and assisting Engineers / Technicians with long form Projects where required.

Main duties & responsibilities

To take care of routine production related work that arrives at the Test Laboratory from Glenair UK production cells; Helium Leak Testing, Outgassing, Thermal Cycling, Functional Checks, ESD sensitive testing, basic Electrical testing, etc. (Will be trained by lab personnel upon arrival).
To assist senior Test Laboratory personnel in conducting and achieving Environmental, Mechanical and Electrical testing commitments within the agreed timescales.
To conduct routine maintenance of the Laboratory test systems, whilst under supervision, to also assist in system upgrades and modifications.
Carry out additional measurements when specified as part of the Hydrostatic Pressure test requirements (e.g., Insulation / Function tests).
To conduct routine maintenance of the Hydrostatic Pressure test systems / Thermal Vacuum Outgassing Systems, also whilst under supervision, to assist in system upgrades and modifications.

Job Requirements:

C or above, Maths and English or equivalent is essential
Experience in a Technical Environment is desirable
Effective communication
Ability to work under pressure
Experience in the use of all Microsoft Office packages
